Fire Fairy

Here is a piece I did for Tiger Hunter last year. Fire Fairy has spectacular colors, a lovely disposition and excellent, umm, assets. She was done as a very large acrylic painting although, in the original, she was not so modest. I created a frisket film bikini for her so that I could display her at San Diego Comic Con, where Tiger picked her up. Of course, she lost that bikini before she went to her new home....^^

Redd Ribbons

In addition to my commission work, I have pieces that I work on for my own satisfaction. Sometimes I'm doing pieces for prints and collections, sometimes I'm learning new techniques, sometimes I just feel like doing something different. This week's post has a bit of all three motivations. Here is the first of a series that I am calling Redd Ribbons. All pieces in this set will include at least one lovely redhead and at least one strand of red ribbon. After that, who knows...

Pink and Blue

Here's a commissioned peice I like for a several reasons. First, the colors are good: Though soft and pastel, they strongly contrast each other. It can be hard to get both of those effects in the same piece. Second, the fur is detailed without drawing too much attention to itself; this, too, is often hard to acheive. Finally, the character is part way between a furry character and a human--especially in her face. I've always liked this look (furries with lips I guess I would call it) and I think I did a pretty good job with it on this piece.
