Fire Fairy

Here is a piece I did for Tiger Hunter last year. Fire Fairy has spectacular colors, a lovely disposition and excellent, umm, assets. She was done as a very large acrylic painting although, in the original, she was not so modest. I created a frisket film bikini for her so that I could display her at San Diego Comic Con, where Tiger picked her up. Of course, she lost that bikini before she went to her new home....^^

I think the most stand out thing about this picture is the use of color. There are a lot of colors here. Normally these colors would seem really bright and hot. However, these are muted and blended together. It creates a more natural effect. In short, I could actually meeting someone with orange skin like that. I would be remiss in omitting the wings. Excellent job on those!

Almost forgot. I'm going to comment on her breasts on the Cutie Catching Some Rays.

I understand you forgot to scan the original nude? Tragic.

Thinking about that orange skin. I think about getting a Starfire (from the cartoon Teen Titans Go!) commission sometimes. This picture makes me confident Susan could ace the skin color.

The color scheme came out nicely in this piece. I was intreigued when TH, who commissioned it, suggested these hues and I had a lot of fun making it happen.

Yep, I neglected to scan the original nude. It had to due partly with my memory and partly with my scanner (which I have since replaced....). I may do something similar as a nude for my Redd Ribbons project to help aleviate the loss.

As far as orange skin goes, when I mix paint to make a skin color I often start with cadimium orange. All I had to do for Fire Fairy was add a little more orange. It would be fun a do a Starfire color piece with these hues, although I'm guessing that you're thinking about a digital colored piece; this will look a little differnet than Fire Fairy, which is an acrylic painting. Still, it would look cool....
